MAM

A ‘motherfokking’ musical with and by explosive new talent

NANOEK (NL)

MAM, the ‘mother’ of all musicals, deals with love, fury, regret, disappointment, and joy and shows all the facets of motherhood. What to do if we fail to identify with the existing representations of mothers and women? If we want more than just stereotypes and a fixed division of roles? Well, we will just write different stories and create new roles.

After seeing this musical, you will look at your mother, yourself, and that annoying woman with the screaming child in the plane with different eyes. A performance that is honest, brave and funny, which will touch all of today’s generations. Created by NANOEK, a collective of explosive new talent in collaboration with eight brave young people from the Year of Excellence at the Albeda MBO Theaterschool.

“Nanoek is topical and relevant. Nanoek explores new pathways with a young ensemble of actors/singers, writers, and composers. Nanoek is what the Dutch musical genre needs right now in order to create a thriving future.”  – Hans Blik, managing director O.

Locatie
