Lucy
Innovative pop music infused with classical baroque timbres
Gregory Frateur, B.O.X & Dez Mona
Ten years after SÁGA was released, Dez Mona and B.O.X (Baroque Orchestration X) are announcing the birth of its long-awaited sequel, Lucy. The Lucy character is neither divine nor earthly, male or female. Lucy represents all people who share the longing for a home base. Dez Mona and B.O.X. create their very own secular oratorio with as a springboard the stories offered by people from across the world. The music seeks the interface between pop and classical music with references to classical musical forms that includes the aria, the chorale, and the recitative.
The progressive Belgian baroque band B.O.X. (Baroque Orchestration X) has collaborated with pop musicians such as Efterklang, Eefje de Visser, Spinvis, My Brightest Diamond, Valgeir Sigurdsson, and Richard Reed Parry (Arcade Fire).
