Theatrical summer concert by a performer who thinks outside the box

Are you the role that you play or are you playing yourself? Inspired by the double lives of icons such as the spy Mata Hari, the drag queen Venus Xtravaganza, and by the fairytale of Alice in Wonderland, The world is as you are becomes an experimental theatre concert in which every pigeonhole is examined and discarded. Is there really only one version of you? And if you believe with absolute conviction that you are something is that what you will become? The actors continue to seek out the boundaries of their identity in a magical manner. Who can they play and what role is completely out of reach? And what is your identity if nobody is watching?
The world is as you are is a theatrical concert in an outside location. A place where ‘real life’ meets the artificial. Where what is controlled enters into a dialogue with chance. A musical and visual intervention in ‘unspoiled’ nature. The setting and costumes greatly contrast with the natural environment where the performance takes place. However, the makers search for extremes in other ways: masculinity versus femininity, technology versus nature, and individuality versus the collective.
