Following his sensational performance WINTER/21/J. and the spellbinding LENTE/22/K., Death plays the leading role in Ryan Djojokarso’s third dance portrait HERFST (autumn). Death is on its way. Whether or not she will announce her arrival remains to be seen but one thing is certain: she will, eventually, be there. Something we cannot avoid. We will have to say goodbye. We will mourn. We will create a ritual.

HERFST is a cross-over between dance, (opera) singing, theatre, and visuals that brings together rituals of departure from various cultures. The piece will tour the theatres in the autumn but at O. you will get an early preview. The songs from the performance are rendered by Bernadeta Astari and Tiffany Vicario.
