The musical thrill-drive NOT HERE is about the impossibility of being able to feel through another person’s experience. In an attempt to do so anyway, the audience takes a walking route and passes a number of figures and situations in a secret place in Rotterdam.
These figures, all with their own thought processes and life situations, (don’t) meet at a spot where a bicycle courier, a connecting yet invisible creature in the city, has an accident with a car. Through newly composed musical pieces, the listener gets a glimpse into the inner world of all bystanders.
NOT HERE is an O. production in collaboration with Annelinde Bruijs and Suze Milius. Like Solitude Hotel (O. 2023), it is music theatre on location and can only be seen during O.
Terms and conditions of participation in NOT HERE
1. NOT HERE is a location performance where you will be transported to a yet undisclosed location. You will receive the exact pick-up location (Kop van Zuid area) a day in advance by email.
2. At the pick-up location, you will be asked to board an actor’s car. Please note: boarding is entirely at your own risk.
3. You must be present at the pick-up location 15 minutes before the start of the performance. The passenger cars will leave punctually at the start time and will not wait for anyone.
4. This performance is open to persons aged 16 and above. Babies and children under the age of 16 cannot attend NOT HERE.
5. NOT HERE is unfortunately not accessible to people with walking difficulties or wheelchair users.
