Memory Loss Concert
Impressive improvisation concert that triggers and comforts
WArd/waRD / Ann Van den Broek / Gregory Frateur (BE)
The Memory Loss Concert is an improvisation concert sprung from the Memory Loss Collection, an impressive trilogy by Ann Van den Broek about loss and dementia. The musical collective consists of Gregory Frateur, Nicolas Rombouts and Sjoerd Bruil, who have each been working with choreographer Ann Van den Broek for some time.
The musicians (known among others from the Flemish band Dez Mona) string together three pieces of music from the three award-winning dance performances into a stand-alone concert that unfolds on the spot into a raw, comforting and at the same time confrontational composition. The show takes place in a unique stage setting from the Memory Loss Collection, designed by scenographer Niek Kortekaas.
