Following the sudden loss of her Dutch husband, K., who is from Indonesia, starts to feel as if she is drowning, slowly, inside her own head. Why does everyone keep staring at her? She goes outside less and less and hides her sadness inside. Alone in her room, images appear of her childhood in Java. She digs for answers in her memories as she looks for a place where she can put down roots.

LENTE/22/K. is a dance and music theatre performance around a single character. A role that is shared by the singer Bernadeta Astari and dancer Melisa Diktas. A cameraman films them in extreme close-ups – putting a magnifying glass on their hidden emotions, which are thereby exposed.
