Meet O.
‘Operadagen Rotterdam’ disappears after 15 years only to reappear as O.! Frequent visitors to Operadagen Rotterdam will recognize in O. a festival with an ongoing focus on adventure, talented makers, and crosslinks to numerous genres. From performance to electropop and from folk songs to street culture. New audiences are in for many treats at a festival with as message: Forget what you know about ‘opera’, allow O. to surprise you!
O. is a festival for visitors who are curious. O. stands for opera and opening up the genre. O. thinks outside the box. O. is Opera. Music. Theatre. O. is open-minded. O. excites, moves, innovates, connects. O. is diverse as the city of Rotterdam itself.
O. Yes, but why?!
Listen to (and watch) the special podcast episode of Zijn Ze Nou Helemaal Bevlogen? (in Dutch) and find out everything there is to know about O.’s new course and the festival’s novel look & feel. You’ll also discover why the name ‘Operadagen Rotterdam’ was ready for the scrapheap after 15 years.
Our guests are Hans Blik (business director, O.), Rajiv Bhagwanbali (director), Ylaysa Harris (marketeer, O.) and Hanneke Minten (senior designer, Das Buro). Presenter: Simone van Hulst.
Locatie
